As the Last Messenger

The Guidance of Allah which began with Hazrat Adam(alai his salam) was completed with Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam). He showed us the right path and taught us how to obey Allah. His life is the best example for us to follow.
The complete message which Allah gave to him is Islam.

His Childhood

Prophet Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was born in Makkah on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal 571 A.D. He belonged to the Quraish tribe. His father was called Abdullah. He died before Prophet Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was born. He was named Muhammad by his grandfather Abdul Muttalib. The name of the Prophet’s mother was Aminah.
In those days, babies were given to nurses for a few years after their birth. Therefore Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was given to Bibi Halima. She took him to her house in the desert. She nursed him and took care of him for five years.
When Prophet Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was six years old, his mother took him to Madinah. On the way back to Makkah she died. Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was then looked after by his grandfather who loved him very much. But he died when Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was only eight years old. He was very sad at the death of his grandfather.
After that Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) was looked after by one of his uncles, Abu Talib. He was not a rich man, so he had to work very hard. Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) also worked and helped his uncle.
As a young boy, Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) worked as a shepherd. While he looked after the sheep and goats, he used to think about the bad habits of the people of Makkah. Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) felt sorry for them. He thought of ways to make the people give up their bad habits and fighting. He wanted them to be good.

Good manners of the Holy Prophet(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam)

Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) from a very young age was different from other children. He was not naughty or playful. He did not play with other children of his age. Hazrat Muhammad(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) grew up to be a very good man. He was modest and shy. He was a kind hearted and caring person. He respected his elders. He always helped people especially the poor, widows and orphans.
He was honest and truthful. He never told a lie. The people of Makkah used to call him Sadiq and Amin which means Truthful and Trustworthy. He had a strong and noble character. He had a good nature and decent manners. Everyone who met him said that he was a very nice person.
