Being Good and Kind to People

Being Good and Kind to People

A true believer should try to do as much good as he can for his fellow-beings. He should be a source of comfort and benefit for all. He should place the needs of people over his needs. Feeding and clothing the poor, calling upon the sick and setting free the prisoners of war are all good deeds. We are ordered by the Holy Prophet(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) to do similar good deeds and noble actions which are a source of benefit to other people.
The Holy Prophet(sal lal la ho alai he wasalam) said:
“A person cannot be a true believer until he prefers for his brother what he prefers for himself.”
At another time, he said:
“A believer is he from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are safe.” At another place, he said:
“The creation is the family of Allah. So the dearest of creations to Allah is he who is best to his family.

These sayings of the Prophet explain the characteristics of a true Muslim. The message is that it is unworthy of a Muslim to cause pain and discomfort to anyone. Rather, he should be friendly and inoffensive towards everyone.

Sacrifice for the Country

Pakistan is an independent, Islamic country. It was created on 14th August 1947 after a long struggle and efforts of Quaid-e-Azam and many other Muslims of the subcontinent. It was achieved so that the Muslims could live their lives according to the principles of Islam.

In the creation of Pakistan, many Muslims lost their lives, houses and property. We should love our country and should not hesitate to offer sacrifices for its sake. We should all work unitedly for its peace, progress and prosperity.

Rights of Human Beings

The Quran guides man with regard to his dealings with other individuals of the society. It lays emphasis on justice, trust, respect for life and property, patience, humility, thankfulness and forgiveness. A Muslim should have respect for the rights of all human beings.
